Stranded in the middle of nowhere

My Blog

Chindonesian guy with very poor Chinese sense. Refused to learn Chinese as a child, and having regrets about it now. (very) Slowly keeping up with the regrets by listening to Mandarin music and tuning into Taiwan entertaiment shows.

Shake it! Your head, your hands, your body, your feet... YAY!!

Posted by lefhen at 04:14 PM on August 12, 2004.

Currently enjoying this upbeat song by the Counting Crows, called 'Accidentally In Love'. One of the original soundtrack of the movie Shrek 2. A funny one, really...
Although the song is about love, but this doesn't mean I'm in a state called love *heavy sigh*
Anyway!! This song can really cheer me up. Just by hearing the beat can start my head swing from side to side.

Love oh love, come to meeeeeeeee................. :P

Accidentally In Love
by: Counting Crows

So she said what's the problem baby
What's the problem I don't know
Well maybe I'm in love
Think about it every time
I think about it
Can't stop thinking 'bout it

How much longer will it take to cure this
Just to cure it cause I can't ignore it if it's love
Makes me wanna turn around and face me but I don't know nothing 'bout love

Come on, come on
Turn a little faster
Come on, come on
The world will follow after
Come on, come on
Cause everybody's after love

So I said I'm a snowball running
Running down into the spring that's coming all this love
Melting under blue skies
Belting out sunlight
Shimmering love

Well baby I surrender
To the strawberry ice cream
Never ever end of all this love
Well I didn't mean to do it
But there's no escaping your love

These lines of lightning
Mean we're never alone,
Never alone, no, no

Come on, Come on
Move a little closer
Come on, Come on
I want to hear you whisper
Come on, Come on
Settle down inside my love

Come on, come on
Jump a little higher
Come on, come on
If you feel a little lighter
Come on, come on
We were once
Upon a time in love

We're accidentally in love
Accidentally in love (7x)
Accidentally

I'm In Love, I'm in Love,
I'm in Love, I'm in Love,
I'm in Love, I'm in Love,
Accidentally (2x)

Come on, come on
Spin a little tighter
Come on, come on
And the world's a little brighter
Come on, come on
Just get yourself inside her

Love... I'm in love

Envy! Envy! Envy!

Posted by lefhen at 02:49 PM on August 13, 2004.

My sister is taking quite a long break from her work. She said she probably won't go to work for the rest of the month. Well, she deserve it tho'. I know it'd been hell for her all this time (can't stand her complaints about work every night).

But me want it toooooooooooooo!!! @_@
By next month, I'm going to have an addition for my to-do-list. Benkyo, benkyo, benkyo... Some part of me feels excited, but the other part of me feels kinda anxious.
*sigh* I wish that I could take a moment off for a while, just to calm meself... freshen me mind up... you know, take a bit of relaxation. Whoa! Who am I kiddin'?! Won't happen, I guess T__T

Well... hope everything'll be going just fine.
Jia you! Jia you! Jia you! *slapping meself at the face for a few times*

Got the last one!!

Posted by lefhen at 10:41 AM on August 18, 2004.

Finally, I got the last volume of my favorite manga: SlamDunk! :D

First of all, I wanna apologize to Takehiko Inoue-san. I know I should've bought the original copy to support your art, instead of downloading the scanlation versions. But this seemed to be the easier way for me to enjoy and worship your drawings. Please forgive me... Please keep on drawing, especially for the continuation of Vagabond and Real.

OK, now about the last volume.
Usually the SlamDunk scanlation is done by a group who called themselves Tensai Manga Project (TMP). I've been waiting for months for this last volume to come up. Well..., this last volume is not the work of TMP. Seen a preview of some pages. Not bad actually... I'll tell you more when I've read the whole volume :P

The bottom line is... AT LAST!!!! :)

Can't think...

Hhnnnn.....
Started from yesterday, my head feels heavy... I wonder what's wrong T__T
It's not a headache, nor a migrain... It just heavy, no pain at all...

Can it be stress? But, what should I be stressed about??
No reason.

One thing for sure.. This certainly decreases my eating appetite T__T

Miss Indonesia 2004

Posted by lefhen at 09:12 AM on August 25, 2004.

Well, well, well... what do you know?
Last night, went to a hotel to have dinner. On what occasion? It's kinda like a gratitude nite for the newly appointed Miss Indonesia 2004. My aunt had this invitation to attend there. And she asked my family to join. The invitation itself was intended for only the people of Bangka-Belitung province, since Miss Indonesia 2004 was presenting the province for the competition.

The dinner was supposed to start at 7pm. We got there, like 7.15pm. And we still had to wait for my other aunt who hadn't arrived yet. We waited until about 7.30pm, then we went up to the ballroom.
You know what? Miss Indonesia wasn't seen anywhere... Apparently, she was late too! We waited and waited, stomach rumbling... and there she was. About 8pm, more less, she appeared. As soon as she was seated, we started for dinner.

After dinner, time for some speeches. From the commitee, Miss Indonesia's father, and herself. And the last, photos with Miss Indonesia... it was a mess. Everyone was like going crazy, just to get a chance to take a photo with her. Unfortunately, none of us brought a camera with us, just my cousin's handphone with built-in camera :P

About Miss Indonesia herself, her name is Artika Sari Devi, IIRC. She's definitely taller than me :P
Very skinny, her look is ok. Not my type, though ;)
IMHO, her little sister looked prettier from a glance :D

Being Miss Indonesia surely is very tiring. You have to behave, act gracefully, sit-up straight, and you have to put up a happy face all the time. Not to mention, taking photos together with people who you don't even have an idea who they are. And it was said that night, that she just came home from Canada and immediately coming for the occasion. Gosh...it would wear me out, if I were her. I guess that's the price you just have to pay when you're over the top. Sacrifice for popularity.

Morale of the story? Free dinner :P
